What is the difference between a Review Engagement, Compilation Engagement and an Audit? Which type of service engagement do you need? How long does it take to complete the tax return and obtain a set of financial statements? How much will it cost? As a Chartered Professional Accountant, I, Leanne M. Goddard, get questions like these on a daily basis. I know that determining your business needs can be confusing for new business owners, which is why it is my goal is to give you peace of mind that you will not waste resources on unnecessary services and my services are offered at very competitive rates.
Review Engagements – while not as extensive as an audit, a review engagement still requires an analysis of your financial statements to provide assurance for financial reporting. A review engagement is useful when third parties want assurance on the accuracy of your financial statements.
Compilation Engagements – this is the lowest level of assurance and is basically a classification and summary of your financial information.
I am dedicated to providing my clients with work of the highest quality at competitive rates. I go above and beyond when it comes to reviewing your financial information with you to ensure you understand everything and provide analysis and recommendations for improvement going forward. As a Chartered Professional Accountant I follow suggested practice guidelines, processes, standards and annual professional development to ensure my clients obtain the best possible advice and services.
